Seademon 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Report Share Posted March 7, 2005 I've ordered a couple of things from Awesome before & they've usually been pretty good (if a bit pricey) but I ordered some side repeaters from them a few weeks ago and wasnt best pleased.1st set arrived as a square post 96 shape repeater even though I stated to the guy on the phone that its a 97 car, fair enough I though these things happen so I ordered a new set and sent the others back. 2nd set arrived in a cardboard box, opened it and inside was a tatty little box that looked like it had been trodden on and kicked about but apart from the box, the contents looked 2nd hand aswell - both were scuffed on the lenses and 1 had a blue tint to the plastic lens. Back on the phone to Awesome and explained I'd been sent 2 sets and I wasnt happy with them so I said I want to send the 2nd set back for a full refund & I'll get some from somewhere else with no hard feelings and they said sorry etc etc and that they'd refund me. Sent them back, couple of days later I get a 3rd set & baring in mind I'd been sent 2 sets already you would have thought they'd send me a nice new set but no - not only had I not asked for them, they sent me a set that had already been fitted to a car (scratches on the back where they'd been clipped in etc & the pins were all bent inside & they charged me for them. These are now on my car as I couldnt be bothered with the hassle over a set of repeaters but for me 'Awesome GTi' isnt so Awesome any more. MK2R32 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Report Share Posted March 7, 2005 I ordered a bonrath grille from them last year, it took them 3 attempts to get me one to my house in 1 piece, admittedly it probably wasn't there fault but the couriers but still it was hassle all the same.
