iOS 5, anyone been brave enough yet?

Recommended Posts

I've updated my mac but not my phone, tried to do my gfs lastnight for her and got error 3200 all the time so gave up.

I've seen posts for custom text tones saying it's in and isn't in 5.0, is it in 5.0 or not ? If so is it just like custom ringtones where you can make them yourself instead of paying a ripoff amount for 2 secs of audio

1x 32gb iphone 4s escorted to front of que sim free upgrade price.. What a blag!! Some folks have been sat up all night to get one.. Should i feel bad..?

Actually with an average monthly phone bill off £500 i feel its justified.. ;)

3200 relate to load on apples servers... keep trying :)

custom ring tones / text tones / email tones etc... are all part of ios 5... you can make them yourself too as no doubt preiviously done :)

I figured it was a DoS so thought I'd just wait till weekend.

So you can customise all tones, lock, unlock, email, message sent received etc and not just the text tone?

If so I may update my phone too, I use all custom tones so in a building full of iPhones I always know if it's mine going off, I was holding off until an untether came and a stable activator otherwise.

I'm not really bothered about the imessage thing sending free messages over Internet, I think it's for America really as they don't get texts in the price but everyone gets unlimited Internet, in uk most everyone gets unlimited texts and unlimited Internet is a cost upgrade pack so first thing I would do is turn off the blue message feature.

Are SMS delivery reports built in this time too?

imessage is great, loads of my friends have iphones, ipads etc... and it integrates seemlessley into the messages.app..

saved my self loads already in this respect :) not sure why you would want to turn it off, as if the recipient doesnt have an iphone with iOS 5.0 it will just automatically send as an SMS... if it fails to deliver the imessage, it auto re-sends as an SMS too.

yep, ive configured my push notification sounds, incoming / outcomign email tones etc.... :)

I don't have unlimited Internet, I do have unlimited texts, makes more sense for me to turn te imessage off and use my texts and not waste my Internet. I may give it a go an see what my usage is like with it but just didn't see the point of using my limited internet when I have unlimited text anyway
