baz8328 0 Posted June 12, 2011 Report Share Posted June 12, 2011 My vr6 is playing up at the moment and its doing my head in !!!It starts fine every time however when you rev the engine it hesitates and loses power but hold the revs above 3000 and it runs spot on !!I have changed plugs - checked the maf and checked the leads .My next port of call is the coil pack ?Anymore suggestions would be welcome !!! jamiej 0 Posted June 13, 2011 Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 you can check the coilpack by running the engine in the dark and then spraying a fine mist of water on the coilpack, if you see sparks dancing across the coil then theres a good change therein lies your problem, the engine will also hesitate with the sparks. VAG-COM shows no errors on it and at about 15% load it hesitates like it has no fuel, Once you let go of the accelerator, the RPMs go back to normal idle and all is good.
