paceo 22
as title, what is your preffered option with the golf vr6, turbo or supercharge? :-) would imagine the turbo is a right git to do as it will sit at the rear of the engine unless you take it out.
craggsy 91
Either way is relatively easy if you know what to do.There are countless threads on either one, you just need to decide what you want from you car

craggsy 91
Don't need to, spacer plate to lower compression and you'll be fine
rodney 17
It's all about how much you want. Bhp wise. Standard will give u 300 before you need to think internals. But if you turbo you will go higher eventually. Everyone seems to. LOL should've bought mine last month LOL. Not sure if you're premium member but there are how to on there. DanH 1
arp rod bolts and 8.5:1 spacer plate and u'll see 400whp+ depending on tuning. diff internals wont like it tho!
Leftoutside 0
The noob opinion for me is that charging is relatively easier than turbo and cheaper, but ultimately slower. If your new to vrs it was probably the sound that got you here and if that's the case the supercharger would likely be your best bet, my personal favorite and power delivery is consistent, while if your looking for end game and power or the option to do so then it will be easier in the long run to go turbo. It's what you want that should decide what you go for.
golfrabbit33 0
standard vr6 12v is good for 350 bhp safely. get on with that and build one as and when to higher spec.
dman78 1
i've been in a turbo and a supercharged,in the end the turbo'd made me decide to turbo mine
