vr6 low compression for supercharger help!!

Recommended Posts

i have just purchased a mk3 vr6 which is has been rebuilt from inside out with low compression

with the following

Engine is ABV 2.9 block and head removed from Preg MK3 golf 2.9 Syncro

Gearbox from 2.8 MK3 CCM fitted with Quaife Diff.

Mk5 32 Sump and oil feed

Nuespeed 160 Thermostat

Sharan RED leads

R32 Spark plugs

New timing chains, guides and tensioners,

New Bigend Shells

Skimmed head with full rebuild including new stem seals etc.

2.9 OBD2 inlet manifold

6Branch manifold with custom 2box stainleess system

Custom Chiped ecu.

all this was built to run with a supercharger which has been removed. car is runing real low bhp as a result (like 150ish at most). i have been reading up on superchargers to put one back on. but cannot for the world of me understand how to fit with the belts and how they bolt up!!

if anyone could please give me a list of parts i require to fit. or best way to recapture power lost through lack of charger. i'm on the understanding that a remap will not help with the compression.

i have been told it had a z engineering on on it that fitted where the behind the drivers side headlight. but tbh i'm not bothered what one it is as long as it gives me plenty of power and is reliable

ok well you can get full kits there mite be a few on here check in the for sale section mate then go from there mate

wont let me in to the for sale section till i've made 10 posts and this is number 7 lol!!

i've seen g60 chargers dotted about for sale but unsure they'll fit in the gap or even work any good.

easy ish to fit is fine with me or a bastard to fit will be fine i do know my way round a car just not superchargers. i can do turbo's fine. tbh money is tight at the minute so dont want to be spending a fortune. but at the same time i dont want to put rubbish on my pride and joy.

not really no .... i cant see how you have lost that much power just by going low comp i run low comp for about a year and didnt loose any performance just the power band was higher up the revs ..... have you had it Rolling roaded to see what she is putting out ???
