oldmandon 1
I've got one of these ready to fit, but want to know will it fit the standard system, and will it make any difference? Also when ordering new systems, do you have to state a specific bore to match the manifold, or do they come with reducers etc?
spadam 7
Im pretty sure they are a direct fit someone will confim. It is advised to heat wrap it though so you dont start melting things in the engine bay.
VR6Pete 1,455
racelands go straight on, make sure your engine mounts are good, as theres no flexi joint on the bottom like the standard manifold. and its very important to heat wrap it.... its easier to do off the car, and you can do a better job.... Make sure you dampen the wrap in water as its contructed of fine fibres that are not nice to breathe in...soak the nuts on your current exhaust manifold in plenty of WD40 for a while as they can be quite tricky to remove. careful you dont snap any studs!one other note, is that the standard heat sheild doesnt line up properly, so be prepaired to 'manipulate' it slighlty to make it fit on the raceland... bungy 2
IMO cast manifolds are a mass production compromise and sap power. I've not got a Racelands but i'd guess they'd free up a few ponies and some usable torque.

VR6Pete 1,455
Pete in your opion is this a worth while modYes. my previous manifolds ran really well with a raceland. I've got one fitted to the Corrado but this one is ceramic coated, so no need to heat wrap!

I am curious coz I am being told on the one I am looking at its 55mm which would make it 2.165" bearing in mind the standard exhaust system is 2.25"
