jcorallo 0
yeah - looks like its the same one - I'm sure also. It sold for over a grand last time.
acf8181 0
soz ollie, had a blind moment!wonder why the sale didn't go through?
Guest Olly_K
hehehe dont know, it says money problems. Its definately changed hands though.
nickbee 1
It is the same one, he emailed me to let me know it was back on sale. Last time it was only me and one other person bidding above about £700, now there are five, I reckon he might actually make a profit on this!
blackburnvr6 0
y not email all the bidders about the groupe buy? the more people that buy tho more money we all save sure people would like a new one for about the same as they going to pay for a second hand painted one
VR6Pete 1,455
good idea!
antera309 3
Great idea by blackburnvr6 there.
damianshep 0
not a great idea, for the simple reason if you let let everyone know that your picking these up for a fraction of the price that they are actually worth, all your gonna do is cheapen the product and lose any form of profit/minimal loss you may have had!oh and beside that i'd be a bit pissed off if it was me selling mine and i'd paid full price for it. VR6Pete 1,455
It's called being in the right place at the right time and it's a one off deal. I dont know about you but im 100% sure id make my money back on it _if_ i sold it seperatly when the VR6 goes.
nickbee 1
Given that the bonus for reaching 20 is only £6 each, I think we should pretty much give up on promoting the deal and keep it to ourselves. There is a slight risk we'll damage the secondhand prices and I would rather not take that risk for £6.
antera309 3
I know. I was hoping that having 20+ people would get the price below the magic Grand.
nickbee 1
It went for £851, for those of you who are interested. I was tempted to make a last-minute bid again, but I decided it was worth paying the extra £200 for a new one!
jcorallo 0
This is what I thought - I was also tracking it eagerly...! In the end, I thought its better getting the new one - you'll have a warranty on it which is particulary important with the electronic controller gizmos. Also, the gaskets and diaphragms will all be new which is important.Jules
jcorallo 0
ROFL!!I think the guy who won the eBay auction has seen the group buy - hes a NON PAYING BIDDER!!its back on!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2466494313&category=43120Nick - offer that guy £800 cash and he'll snatch your hand off I bet...Jules
antera309 3
You wait ages for a cheap deal on a VSR, then two come along at once. Typical.I'm still getting a new one though!!
nickbee 1
Very tempted to ask him! Makes no difference to the group buy and TBH £300 would come in handy.Of course, I'll have to check whether it's OBD1 or 2 and given it's in Bicester I'd rather see it personally first. D'oh, I hate tricky decisions.
