spadam 7
Jack car up and support it Undo Sump plug and let oil drain out into oil pan. Undo drain plug on Oil fillter and again let oil drain out Undo oil fillter and replace, only do it up hand tight though as they can break Tighten sump plug Refill with oil and check for leaks
russj249 2
also might help you out a bit.. the oil filter housing has an allen key drain which can be prone to slipping, but if it does and you can't undo it, you can still remove filter, it just gets messy!you will also need a 36mm socket for the oil filter housing. can do it with a strap but sides are only thin so be super careful. J5KE F 0
That drain pump is well worth the investment! Nicely done bungy
russj249 2
That drain pump is well worth the investment! Nicely done bungy what happens when some cars have a bit of mesh covering the end of the dipstick tube so nothing drops into the sump? surely it'll only suck out to that line then, which might leave a fair bit of old oil still in the sump. I change my oil every 5-6k with it on my Audi and Golf.

Lukey. 381
dont forget copper sump washer. dont want to find it leaking from there after youve just filled up with fresh oil.tightening torque for the filter housing is stamped on it, 30 or 35NM iirc, it says it in a stupid way though like 25+
