Ben Seabrook 4
yeah defo worth a quick call or email to see mate and otherwise then someone like United Motorsport worth be worth checking with - if the car is running well and the only prob is the rev limit I would see if its worth getting rid of that to start
gaz.veedub 0
ye it runs sweet but that dam limiter!!! i dont think it would be as bad with the o2a box but its just crap with the o2m really cray im abit pissed off really :@

bungy 2
Would be just as easy to have your OEM ecu re-mapped and raise your rev limiter. Mine is set at 7000 and has launch control installed as a soft limiter at 3000rpm. Speak to Matt at United Motosport.......
Ben Seabrook 4
just as easy but if the map on the other chip is good then it might be cheaper just to have the rev limiter removed ?
AJmk2 2
lol , no way there should be a limiter at that rpm. Definitely give your supplier a call.
bungy 2
just as easy but if the map on the other chip is good then it might be cheaper just to have the rev limiter removed ?I'm sure it would but in the back of my mind would be "why set the limit so low", maybe they were struggling with the fueling at higher rpm and set it like that for a reason. Either way i'd want it checked and the mapping blocked to see what was happening rather than loosing the engine from running lean.....I may be a bit paranoid but better to be safe than sorry...... Ben Seabrook 4
mmm true they do ! worth giving him a bell because I am sure at the very least he can remove the rev limiter and he might be able to live map the car on the road
bungy 2
Remove the supply for your haldex, i'm not sure on your setup but usually remove the supply fuse....

legvw 0
My car was mapped on a 4wd dyno, but i've also had it on a 2wd rr and it was fine, just switched off the haldex pump.Hope it sorts your rev limit!!
