Temp gauge problem

Another one of these posts i tried searching for the fault but could not find one that would help me.

My temp gauge is not working i have change the blue sensor but still nothing and am not sure if the fans are kicking in i have had the car running but i dont think the fans are coming on.

Can anyone help me cheers

ok cheers best place to get one , i have been looking at awesome for the lower temp one but they are only showing for the 4 cyl one

How are ur heaters? As hot as normal?

you need a 80c one, dont get a low temp thermostat as you engine is designed to run at the temp vw wanted you to run it at

ok which one is best to go for the normal thermostat or the low temp one

I'd stick with Gsf mate as I've had a few poor bits from euros. Gsf parts seem to be a lot better quality and yeah, normal one is fine.

Blue sensor doesnt run the temp gauge, thats for ECU.

I think yellow one controls temp gauge

My first vr had sort of the small problem with the temp gauge, i just changed the blue on and all was good. Thats why i went with the blue one
