Help - Owned by an Astra !

Pretty sure it was an astra, but it didnt have opel/GM stickers, just something like Harmann badges. This thing was quick, I've never seen anything go away from me like it. I'd just made a Boxter look silly and was all happy then this thing turns up!

Sounded like a tank and had four pipes at the back, I've googled Harman and got nowhere any ideas what it was?

Could of been a VXR also, they are rapid and will leave a VR behind.

Also boxter couldnt of been trying as they would leave a standard VR as well.

I dont know what mods you have so done flame me for saying that

VXR - Monaro - same thing and fecking quick !! a standard vr would have no chance and most of the modified ones wouldnt either !!

yep sounds like a monaro if it had 4 pipes

mind you ...you would be suprised at how well a mk4 astra turbo go's, and with a few mods and remap they go very well (get over 300 without to many probs)

ohh could just be a astra turbo,there rapid aswell! you would have knew if it was a vxr8 the sound goes like this,roaarrr,whine(of the charger),then growllllll as it gets further away,haha

The torque on my mates old astra turbo in 5th was amazing! Just had straight through exhaust, sports cat and about 3 maps until he got it right. Was a right rocket for a tank! Mine liked better tho lol

Also, anything can be quick if done right. I had my ass handed to me by a corsa. I was going down (downhill), a slip road onto a motorway and it was just me in the car, so I was shifting on one of those "let see what you can do down here then" moments.

I saw lights appear onto the slip road maybe 300 meters behind me. Before I reached the end of this 500 - 700 meter sliproad, I was sucked into the destruction left behind, by the wind, of this corsa C or B that went screaming past. I was doing 85 at this point. He went past me like a parked car being driven past by a boy racer doing 60 or 70.

I was owned by an old H reg astra in my Dragon Green he drove like a mental loon though so I wasnt really interested after I saw he had complete disregard for living.

I have a 08 astra sri a swell as the vr, and to be honest driving them both straight after each other there's not much in it. However u cant beat the sound of the vr :-)
