is it me or is this way too cheap to be a good turbo set-up

a turbo set up can be done for under a grand if your not afraid to spend time sourcing the parts and building it yourself

i think it was jim with the first sub 1k home brew.

Saw a complete kit on the well known auction site...complete vr6 turbo kit £750...thats T3/T4. turbo offering 80 -160 bhp increase, intercooler,wastegate, manifold,pipes,hoses....like everything. (worrying though 90 day warranty on turbo.lol)

Although Paul Parky pointed ot when i metioned it to him that you ave to be careful with turbo's if cheap versions as they can break down chucking shards of metal into the engine.....making your vr6 very poorly.lol

Get a lot of kits though...woulnt all the pipes, intercooler etc etc etc amount to a price near that anyway with out the turbo.

The Canadian kit is more than likely from Audspeed. They sell cheap Chinese crap and people have in the past also received used, cheap copy turbos. Search Audspeed in Google, loads of stories

Yeah that kit is a bit on the cheap side really and too small. That turbo wil spool too quickly, break gearboxes and be gutless at the top end.

If you want to do it on a budget, I would seriously recommend using s/hand brand names than chinese cloned stuff. I know it's hard to tell the difference sometimes, but just ask us and we'll make sure you don't get ripped off with the wrong kit :-)
