spadam 7
Does everyone on here run a head spacer with a supercharger/ turboReason i ask is i had my headgasket done last year along with a skim and new valve stem seals etc so dont really want to get it all done again to fit a head spacer. Im now thinking i should supercharge it but do i need to fit a spacer plate if not how much BHP could i safely run and what psi. Im thinking of a rotrex supercharger if this helps matters. Cheers in advance
CALICO 130
7 psi is as much as you should go without spacer turbo or supercharger
spadam 7
So would that give me around 270BHP i take it or just less. Is anyone on here running a supercharger without a head spacer
craggsy 91
Thing is with a rotrex charger it can give you more power than the advertiser 6psi.......when i boot mine ive seen 8 and 9 psi from a 6 psi pulley. i have a spacer plate, more for a bit of security in case i upped the power its already done
spadam 7
How much would they cost to have fitted. I may see if tony can do it for me or something means i can go for more boost then lol

CALICO 130
are you selling yours if you break your car if so can i have first dibs
FishWick 21
Defo spacer if Rotrex or Turbo. An accidental big overboost on stock compression would kill the engineVortech S/Cs are more predictable and linear and can run stock compression OK. I ran 12psi on mine with no issues, other than very busy knock regulation!

Gazbarber1982 3
I've just had standard head gasket fitted to my car after the original head gasket went within 15 miles of a z-engineering stage 1 charger being fitted. Head was skimmed and pressure tested and upto now the cars been OK but I've not taken it over 4k as reccommended by Vince at Stealth. My older VR run fine with the standard head gasket and the same charger bolted to it for over 12 months but I eventually broke the car due to rust.
