vr6stormt 0 Posted April 24, 2010 Report Share Posted April 24, 2010 well today me and paul thought we would do a couple of hours on the vr wich quickly turned into 8hr`s a few pics on progress oh yeah big thanks to paul for all the help and machine`ing the bits to fit the tvr springs to the vr coily`s top man....it feels so tight now with no lift or sink into corner`s it stick`s like glue now but she is sitting a bit high at the mo on the front but will drop her back down tomorrow. vr6stormt 0 Posted April 24, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 24, 2010 Where did you get the carbon scoops from ?they are the new facelift scooby vent`s got them from a company off the bay they were a good choice because under the vents are directional flow chambers that sit right on top of the filter and they have the same bonnet line shape as the vr... vr6stormt 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 looking good fella the shocks are something a bit special aint they ???? how much £££ did they set u back hi tony just to get the fronts set up in all cost about £400 but they are made up of TVR,SCOOBY & VR6 coily parts with only a small bit of lath work, feels so tight now and it hasn`t even been set up properly (ie tracked) wheels next bumper sprayed then going to start collecting the 4x w/drive and look out for THE motor.... vr6stormt 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 brynvr6,,they are actually nitron racing springs which are 10.5 " long x 325lb cos we where loosing hight out of the body by removing the cups(top mounts)so wheel size went up to regain full strut travel so hence uprated springs...but am toying with scooby or GT4 front shocks (shorter) oh i stumbled across the nitron web site and they actually make a custom race set up for a couple of grand look`s nice though.. You making this into a track car?[/quote']yes hopefully she will end up a reliable track car (just for fun)lol and the engine ive been looking at r36 n/a on 4x4 but trying to get one with all the gubbing`s is hard cos they are so new still most that are written off are re,shelled but still looking...
