first post! converting from auto to manual!

sorry this is my first post!

i may be getting a VR6 auto highline, on a 96 N. can i convert to manual with relative ease? im handy with the spanners so to speak, but need to know the pitfalls!

welcome to the site

you will need gearbox, gearlinkage, pedalbox, clutch master cylinder, throttle cable and i think also the wiring to the gearbox as the auto one is different coolant pipes i think are also different as the auto has a water cooler on the top good luck let us know how you get on

No I run a manual that i converted from auto because it had a low mileage engine....I removed the engine and mated it to the box outside the bay to make it easier....

You need:

The box

Flywheel

Clutch

Starter motor

Linkage

Pedal box

Clutch master, slave and all the lines

25mm copper pipe to bridge the auto cooler system

Gear lever

Lever surround

Then you need to do some wiring....If your nearby I dont mind coming and doing it for you or just PM me for any help...
