UnitedMotorsport 55
OBD1 vs2 - sometimes they have a different connector. OBD2 doing the 16 pin one, Sometimes really early OBD1 cars have whats known as a 2x2 connector.Rosstech sell the adapter for this too.

V.W.R.32 0
Everyone has seemed to mis what I would consider a good bit of information to know. It was stated not to get one from Ebay but it was never stated why. The software is free from Ross-tech so why not just get a cheap cable? Can anyone elaborate on this? I am sure I am not the only one who is interesting in knowing why but I am the only one asking.

b road blaster 0
there is not alot wrong with the ebay ones but you are very limited as to what you can do with it you can read most fault codes (but not all) and reset service lights with it thats really about all you can do with them
Lukey. 381
The software activates every time you plug in the ross tech cable, with a generic cable it wont activate the software so you wont be able to do very much. They did this to stop people cracking their software by making them have to buy the specific hardware to make the software work. High end media studio software packs for computers have worked like this for a long time
