The ABS light should switch on when you turn the car on for a few seconds then go out, so if the garage see it not light up at all they will know that its not working. But if you're lucky they may not notice, but you can buy blanking plates too...

Daft question - why not just fix the ABS fault??? the MOT guy will see / know it has ABS and then question why the light aint there anyway!

Just get it on the VAG-COM, its probably an ABS sensor at fault, half an hour job to replace it....

Just covering up the problem isnt the solution.

right prob no 2, turns out said ordered part may be incorrect. it didnt comes with the attachments, just the sensor

dont know if i should be getting the attachments as well, i expect i should but dunno

anyways that unearthed another prob when i queried it coz it turns out there were 2 rear sensors for the vr6 in 1996?

any ideas how i tell? chassis number?
