VR6Pete 1,455
so who can answer my question about it fitting on a rado?
VR6Nat 9
Yeah it should do, the earlier ones had a smaller spline and the later ones have the bigger spline, but there is an adaptor if you have the smaller one as i think you need the bigger one for it to fit... but it has to be non airbag so you may have to remove it... VR6Pete 1,455
I kept the airbag module in in the mk2, eventhough it wasnt connected, its part of the steering wheel, so cant really remove it, but I did transplant the whole mk3 colum into the mk2... VR6Nat 9
well as far as i know you shouldnt have it in there as the raddo doesnt have it... but then if its not connected will it really cause a prob? that bit i dont know.... lol.Is yours an early one or a later one?? VR6Pete 1,455
How do I know if its early or late? its on a 1993 plate, Cant see it being a problem as theres nothing there to ignite it, my mk2 passed the MOT with it on anyway...
VR6Pete 1,455
its a late VR
VR6Nat 9
I think yours is the later one then... which has the larger spline, so you should be fine.Oh and you can tell if yours is the early model by the interior... its different to the facelift models... patpong_pete 0
What so special about your old wheel peteis it sentimental value or does it feel better to drivei would go for fresh new wheel to go with your new carthere r options below Raid WheelBBS Wheelmk 3.5 Golf mk 4 Golf wheel
wayne_1@tiscali.co.uk 27
if look at steering wheel horn buttons are carbon fibre effect and the sides of steering wheel is flater on the sides with grip indents its just like the highlines had the optional extra of the steering wheel with the wood
VR6Pete 1,455
It holds sentimenta value for me, crashing with it on the mk3 and having it on my mk2. I'd give my left kidney to get that wheel back
