Jamesr_VR6 0
as with msot finds it was probably used by a private collector who has since passed and the land either bought or inherited
rodney 17
it was something that cropped up a few years ago. Basically a farmer died and people bought the property. They decided to open the barn and hay presto..
VR6Nat 9
that is the part that is a hoax, it wasnt a barn find but a collection that a guy aquired when he used to sell cars in the 70s he still owns the land and the barn and he stored them away as they were the ones he didnt want to sell but he still wants to keep them, The story that someone bought the land and found them is the bit that is untrue. lol

laurenceh 0
yep, was indeed a hoax.i do however know where there is one barn literally full of a mix of awesome old cars and a selection which were until a couple of years ago when the whole lot was actioned off.there were two brothers who in the late 70's and early 80's started buying up cars and storing them in barns situated all over southeast essex. it was all kept a secret from their dad (who owned gables garage in rayleigh) as he saw all the cars as snotters, by 2005/06 a lot of the cars in the collection had become rare and valuable. the whole lot was auctioned off and split between the family. i know a guy who is now brother in law to the two brothers who started the collection - his wife got £100,000 ish out of it from memory for not telling the dad about the cars back in the day.
