VR6_Matt_ 0 Posted October 30, 2009 Report Share Posted October 30, 2009 Yesterday I found out that my missus is carrying twins :-d so the Golf has to go ;( , which is especially more painful because it's in the garage having a new head gasket, timing chains, tensioners and coilovers and a new exhaust, estimated bill so far at £1300. i can still have my fun with it up until the two little bundles of joy arrive, however fitting everything into the golf will be next to impossible.. so I'm looking at alternatives. Since owning the VR I've completely fallen in love with the engine and with it being the first V6 i've owned, I would love another.I've been considering the Passat V6.. is this the same engine as the VR6.. OBD2 i'd guess? What are the other alternatives? I'm not sure a Bora would be big enough and as far as I know the Passat is the only dub that combines loads of space with a decent engine.
