stolen R32 - shocking

Recommended Posts

That is absolutely horrific. A worrying trend that with immobilisers now so effective, more and more thieves are resorting to stealing the keys by breaking into peoples houses, mugging them or (in this case) both.

An R32 can fetch well over £8k as parts that are easily sold and can't be traced back to the stolen car, so it's little surprise it's near (if not at) the top of the current "Steal to order" list. It's easy money for them. For a thief, it's a better proposition than a 911.

I wouldn't buy an R32 for this reason alone. I don't want anyone bursting into my house with a gun, thank you very much.

I hope that the Police are clued-up enough to look out for the parts appearing on the Cesspit that we all know as eBay.

The Mk3 Golf VR6 and Corrado fell out of favour with professional thieves several years ago now, we're all pretty safe from the kinda people who committed this crime. So please, don't have nightmares...
