valve seals?

I'm getting a bit of blue smoke when coasting off throttle then accelerating - only does it sometimes. Does it sometimes when coasting to a junction then stopping and pulling away. Could this be valve seals?

I'm going to get a compression check done to see if its rings - i'm hoping its seals tho!

surely it could be either even if you get low compression still?

I always thought a compression test was for rings? how would it show valve stem seals?

i thought vrs did this a little anyway?

the vrs iv followed (not many) have all spat a bit of smoke out when they floored it

I might just be being paranoid - its cus i've got upswept pipes so i can see all the smoke behind me! I'm not sure how much its burning (about hlaf litre every 1300 miles?) at least its not as bad as my old engine (1 lt every 600 miles)

vw quote 1 litre per 1 k miles as within tolerance!! iv seen a little smoke once from mine doin the same thing off throttle down a hill (i love the poppin noise lol) then booted it but it doesnt drink oil so dont think theres anythin wrong

best thing to do is to get a two-way radio and get someone behind you and then you can ask them if they see smoke under different circumstances....

Mine smokes sometimes when floored without being gentle
