Timah89 1
right cleaned the sensorrs last night, still no difference, pretty sure now it is just the faulty sensor and the pump is ok, cant for the love of god get the sensor out though, removed the one fixing bolt and the sensor was seized in, any ideas on a simple way of getting this out? have a missed another fixing bolt maybe? if the pump is gone then i haver the MOT soon so will have them do the work for the pump and bleeding, had a look last night and the bleeding looks like a right ball ache, dont wanna risk getting any air bubbles in there! Will clean the MAF again tonight i think just to double check. Bit of electrical spray should do the job?
Ben Seabrook 4
yeah just spray it lots with electrical contact cleaner and leave to dry - as for getting the sensor out - a big screwdriver and a bigger hammer was the only way I could get mine out mate go to town on that little so and so ;)
Timah89 1
like the style, got loads of big hammers so this could be fun! is it possible to download the software to remove the fault codes from VAG-COM, cause once i have done all this i will need to run it again to see if the faults have gone. Ben Seabrook 4
if you repair the sensor and then run vag-com again it should dissapear automatically mate and after running the car for a couple of sesonds as long as that was the problem then the ABS light will go out as well

xyber 1
Every ABS fault ive had has been a chaffed cable going to the sensor, worth checking before dismantling
jamieherd 0
When u say Front Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor is this O/S or N/S? I also have the 00283 fault code popping up quite regularly.
daleyboyVR6 6
Would be N/S i think matey as the left right thing is from the drivers perspective when sitting in the car, but im sure someone else would confirm this is true................ :-p
