Most of the time it runs fine if a little lumpy on tickover but every so often the car starts to misfire badly (if feels like the car is out of fuel, which it isn't) The car has been parked up since 2002 and I was wondering what the problem could be?

Blocked fuel filter, faulty plug leads?

Help please!

There is a place near me called Volkswerk. They are a VAG specialist. I spoke to them and said the car had been standing for 14 months and they recommended I get a full service done. They quoted £160+ VAT

Stealth Racing is a 4 hour drive for me!

neither are leads i think (the only thing it says on the sheet is to check them), so that won't be quoted in the price they quote for service. leads cost £50-60 for cheapo ones, or £100 for the real mccoys (red vw own, which are much much better quality).

where abouts are you zonda? i use automotive solutions in sonning (just east of reading), he certainly knows his vr's and is very reasonably priced.
