She's finally Charged!! Now With Pics!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

After sitting in a large box in my lounge for the last 3 weeks..........the charger is finally on the car!!! !amazed

I imported the kit 2nd hand from the US. We had a few problems initially as the bracket for the charger supplied was for a car with A/C....and mine doesn't!!! DOH!!!

Luckily Ben(mightyvr6) came up trumps and I swopped my bracket for his.........long story.......but a massive thank you to Ben and Pete(Tandino) ;)

Had to fill the charger with oil too, as there was none in it, lucky I checked really B)

She's booked in at Engine Advantages, Witham, Essex on Friday for a mapping session....can't wait! It's killing me having to drive around at 50mph!!

The noise the charger makes is amazing, a lovely whinning sort of sound.

Massive thanks to Tommy who did most of the spanner work ;)

Pics to follow later.

That's great news Mark, glad it went without a hitch. I've just realised that the charger has been rebuilt and will need running in, so it's probably best to keep the revs low (think the run-in period is 350 miles - see instructions) so it's ready to be thrashed by the time you get to Stealth.

8) Welcome to the world of forced induction!

I'd have thought 260bhp was a conservative estimate with your spec. :)

8)

In the past the car has always been slighty down on power, so who knows.

I think the guy in the US said that he saw 7psi max out of the kit, so i don't think it'll make massive figures.

You can get this thing called a pre-charger made by k@n. It's basically a bag which goes over the filter and gives it a bit more protection from splashes of water and dust. There should also be a plastic splash tray under the wing which should keep the water out. My filter has been there for about 2 years with no problems. Just avoid big puddles!
