JONNOS 0
I live in the Hague, Holland (i'm english, from london) and drive a german import 1996 vr6 2.9. It has done 104,000km I've had it for 3 months and it purrs away fine but I think it is time for a service. So get this, i drove down to my local KwiKFit, to see if i could book the car in for a service. I pull up outside the place to be approched by these two chumps smoking fat doobies. I asked them about servicing and they asked to buy my car, not ideal so i locked it and walked in to the reception. Inside was another chump standing there in his kwikfit unifrom drinking a beer smoking a large doobie too. Not entirely sure i want these nutters servicing my car. Anyone know what the best way to find a reputable mechanic is?
VRmonster 1
my advice is, next time you go to get your car serviced, fill your car up with mates, lol. and all have big spliffs in ya mouths and beer cand all over the car, so you look thugish. lol. then you may fit in and they wont bother you, ha ha. Pete.sVR6 0
My advice would be don't take it to Kwikfit!, In my opinion the only thing these places should be used for is tyres in an emergency and I would only do that if I couldn't find anywhere else!

shail 0
has your car still got the European map in the handbook? Look up your nearest dealer, go in, get a quote, speak to the mechanic say the price is a bit steep & see if he knows of any other non-dealer mehcanics - they normally do.
