Pete.sVR6 0
AllI have had to drive in this morning with only cold air coming out of the heater vents?, I already know that the Aircon compressor needs replacing (job for next summer) but up until now I have heat when I needed it, what could this be? Thanks.

Pete.sVR6 0
AllA bit more info, The temp gauge does read ok, sits just under half way on the gauge (I guess due to the colder mornings) Could this be a Thermostat problem?, if so are these easy to replace.Any help will be appreciated. SankysVR6 1
could be the thermostart stuck open causing no warm air in the car.are rad fans switching on

Eat this 2
im sure that would drop the water temp
SankysVR6 1
yes it would but if the rad fans are switching on and off you'll know if the engine is getting cooled.and your not in to much danger of the engine overheating.which could cause more problems later on. Geastb 0
I had this happen to me the other week - turned out to be an air lock caused by a split pipe letting air in. just a thought.
Pete.sVR6 0
Update. The problem seemingly had dissapeared on driving home from work, normal temp was reached on the gauge, and plenty of heat was present from the heater? Have asked other people who think it could be a sticking Thermostat, air lock (as suggested on here) and maybe even the climate control having a bad day. Will keep a close eye on it and may decide to replace the Thermostat to be on the safe side, could be a warning of problems later on. Cheers for the replys.
VR6Steve 0
If you are going to replace the 'stat get a Neuspeed one from Awesome GTi. Well worth it in my opinion.
