cliveyp 0
My VR has got a little bit of a misfire bewtween about 1200-1500rpm. Nothing too major, but it's there. Just free revving it shows as a little bit of rough running, but when driving it tends to give a little bit of a kick as it coughs. Other than that it pulls clean to the red line. I was thinking of trying the plugs first to see if that makes any difference, but is there any other things that it could be?Also, if i come to change the leads (whihc don't look too old at the moment), what do you recommend? Nerih 0
mine has been doing the same, i was told to change spark plugs and now it runs alot smoother, and there is slightly less vibration (imo) at high RPMs.

acf8181 0
the misfire could be a number of things, from old fuel filter through to hall sender.best to check leads/filters/plugs first, then get the fault codes checked if it still persists.

cliveyp 0
hey clive this is Hiren' date=' i emailed you regarding a vr a few weeks ago, was it you who told me you have a corrado up for sale, i said no though .Was this you?[/quote']Could have been, i dunno to be honest. I sold the Corrado about 4/5 weeks ago....Plugs are on order, so i'll try them when they arrive. Leads next if that doesn't cure it. By then it'll probably be clse to the rolling road day (i don't do anything quickly!) so i'll see if Vince can diagnose anything if he's got time. 8o)
tandino 1
Mine had exactly the same problem soon after i got it - the misfire was only evident at low rpms when you were putting the car under load - as soon as the revs got up it dissapeared.I changed the plugs and the misfire was gone 8o) .Pete. cliveyp 0
Solved! Changed the plugs over the weekend and it misfires no more!! Leads will probably be done soon, just for the sake of it, but much happier now that it's running properly!
