engine is a 2.0 litre turbo charged giving out 198bhp and 0-60 in 7.2 secs and top speed of 146mph.

280Nm of torque between 1800 and 500rpm.

six speed box as well.

17s std 18s optional

to me, the mk5's are'nt golfs as i know em prefer me mk3's mk4's.... after that, then they lost their appeal to me.

I certainly agree with ya mate, but tbh I said the same about the Mk4 when it came out, now I'd love one (R32!!)

I still say the mk5 looks like a Pug!!!!

Nah gotta admit I'm a big fan of them (will get one soon hopefully). Most cars these days have grown in various ways and it is the 5th mark so you have to expect changes. Going back to the post its alot of money but not alot of car for it. Would much rather spend that on a R32 and have a bit of change to play about with.

But £22 grand for a 200bhp Golf (once you've added leather etc) ain't good value IMO, even for someone who really likes the look of the Mk5.

You can get a 2nd-hand 380BHP Audi RS4 for that money, and have enough change for a set of 20" alloys!!
