LarkinBoy 0
For the next stage of my engine build up I decided to up boost on my s/c and have decided to put a chargecooler in for packaging reasons and I didnt really want a intercooler protruding from the front bumper. But which of them is more efficient at the job they do? Anybody
Radostormvr6 2
Chargecooler better with S/C set up, less pressure drop. Check out www.spturbo.com that the cooler im running
xyber 1
what boost will you be running? you may be able to get away with water injection
Lizard Racing 0
Chargecooler is more efficient but not necessarily the best solution for a road car.
LarkinBoy 0
The first time I had it mapped it was running 6.5-7 psi and was running water injection still had a little heat issue. This time when i did calcs for pulley size it should be around 12psi maybe plus 2 more because of heat expantion on the rotors so 14 psi

FishWick 21
Chargecoolers. Pouring cold water onto hot metal is always going to be more effective than blowing on it.Intercoolers are more popular because they're cheaper and simpler. Personally, I'd prefer an intercooler with water spray, but there's just no way to fit one neatly to a Corrado.
