m4t_lee 0 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Share Posted January 5, 2008 Just coming back from town in the missus highline and the fans started going mad and the temp went right up, pulled over and the water in the header tank was bubbling away. Left it sat for 5 mins then drove another mile before same happened so limped home like this.Both fans work and there is, well there was water in the system with enough coolant, any idea what might be causing the over heating please?Gotta get it fixed before monday so she can get to work and do the kiddy runs, doh!!Regards,Mat Link to post Share on other sites

Charged vr6 0 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Share Posted January 5, 2008 i had the same problem, don't buy the GSF thermostat as once replaced, 2 months later i had the same problem.But as said by the others its the thermostat..Its basically not opening and allowing the coolant to go through.
