jims13 6
wekk, im sure i read it could not be done, so whilst ive been fitting a new rad, i thought id give it a go.relocated horn, got rid of carbin canister, and one fabricated bracket later it fits..pics to follow later, but it fits perfectly, and will sit directly behind the left hand air scoop..used some tumble dryer pipe to make up the extra length of pipe i needed...road test is next , once the front is back on..jim
binliner 0
well done, I know when I had the charger space is tight down there for a filter.... just avoid big puddles!

ingham 5
i hope the tumble dryer pipe holds up ok as if it gets sucked in ,then it could get messy also be sure not to block air flow to brakes
jims13 6
well, the tumble dryer pipe proved problematic today , once above 5000 rpms , it wouls suck in on itself...so im gonna replace it with some aluminium corragted pipe from my local car acessory store...apart from that it works very well
jaysVR6 2
well done' date=' I know when I had the charger space is tight down there for a filter.... just avoid big puddles![/quote']I'd be careful in heavy wet weather if I was you fella. On a soaking wet motorway with driving rain, I reckon that filter could soak up a lot of moisture, the last thing you want is a load of water being sucked into your inlet. pops 1
sounds like nothing but if water gets in your engine its proper had it, bent rods the lot
jaysVR6 2
An interesting read for you buddy. http://www.prepsparkplugs.com/hydrofact.htmNot trying to scare you but with only around 3 table spoons I wouldn't risk it. When you think about it, it's small amount of water, and the VR loves a good suck!!
Phat VR6 3
Its true but only happends if the filter is compleaty submerged in water. I would think your fine thought a few " puddle as long as you dont go to deep.Shouldn't this in theory increase torgue?
VR6Pete 1,455
I have a mate, who killed 2 engines in his integra type are, partly, down to stupidity though, as he did drive through a rather large area of standing water on a road, that was with his filter sitting low to the ground.
