vibra technics engine mounts who's got em and what they like ?

im looking into getting some but when i looked on there sites theres 2 different types the uprated ones and the comp pec ones,

so whos got what and what would be best for a daily VR6 ?

iv got fast road all round 1 has died about 12 months after buying it but then i am running 275 lb ft through it

ive got VT mounts all around, they well worth the money... not bothered with comp ones... might have a front engine mount you can buy phil, no use to me with the mk2 conversion.

go with the VT over VF ones, VF are too harsh.

You can buy direct from VT, and save 10% with you being a premium member.

i have vibra technics fount mount (£150)

the first one was a fast road and it didnt last long at all,

so i replaced the inside bit(£75) to race one ,well see how long it lasts....

never had any issues with my VT mounts to be honest, and im pushing 220BHP through it.

will check condition while im up the garage this weekend mate.

its not going anywhere mate, so dont worry.

Ive got a VF front mount and about to fit vibras on the rest, the VF ones are very stiff

Another on to try is Turn2, alot of the U.S lads rate them, harder to get hold of though

Get compertion VT onces. As said above the road onces dont last long. The gearbox one increases gearbox noise and cab vibration but i like it. Sounds like a dog box and just feels faster because of the vibration, lol

I have read its best to replace them all at the same time. Because when not then the harder ones take up more stress and therefore wear out quicker. But when al done at the same time then they work better together and therefore last longer...

i was told to do just the front and the gear box on as these take the most load, and if you do the rear one you can get ibrations up the steering coloum

That seems to make sence. I know the gearbox one give you alot of vibration in the cab but not the stearing collum altho i can imagin that the rear engine mount could cause that, dont think that would be very nice to live with tbf

How did you replace the inside bit?

Did you use something else or get the replacement parts direct from Vibratechnics or a Distributor?

Can this also be done to the other mounts should they wear out, the internals (rubber) can be replaced?
