Bampson 0
About a month or so ago there was a thread on braided fuel lines but i cant seem to find it ..the question is where can i get them ?! tandino 1
www.pirtek.co.ukTake your existing fuel lines along to your nearest dealer and they will make nice braided ones while you wait...Pete.
binliner 0
or demon tweeks do them... you need aprox 2m of 8mm high pressure fuel hose
VR6Steve 0
Completely off subject I know. If Pirtek is still owned by the same guy, he bought the company (so I was told) for £1 and the small matter of £1 million debt! :-o turned it around big time!
Bampson 0
nice one .. thanks guys .. i will let you know how i get on ...
Bampson 0
Just a thought .. do pritek do the anodised ends as well ?? if so how do they connect to teh fuel rail ???
tandino 1
Pirtek are a hose repairer/supplier.They will fit whatever you want on the end of the hose be it galvanised or Anodised aerospace quality ends - they are not what you see on Max Power cars - ie overbraided hoses with a jubille clip disguised anodised end cap - they are the reall Mckoy. As Justin has pointed out you can buy braided hoses from Demon Tweeks etc but you will have to use your original end pieces - Pirtek will make new lines with whatever you want on the end - just take your old fastenings in for them to replicate.Should be a branch near you.Pete. Bampson 0
the thing, is as you know the fuel lines on the VR have jubliee clips on the end. is it possible to fit the femal equvalent of the anodised end on to the fuel rail so we can have propper anodised ends ??? tandino 1
It might be possible to flare the end of the fuel rail then with a joining olive you might be able to make something work??Might be worth taking the fuel rail to Pirtek to see what they can do??Pete. tandino 1
Andy,Those are they hoseclip anodised ends- the proper race fittings dont have jubilee clip internals - they look like this :- Do doubt yours are better than stock but are essentially still prone to the hoseclip cutting into the pipe - the pucka pipes are devoid of this potential problem and they look pretty 8o) (for a price)Pete.
