binliner 0
will adjusting the height of my coilovers by a small amount (10mm) affect camber or wheel alignment.... I've been told yes by one place and no by another :?
MarkGolf 6
not by noticable amounts to be honest...if at all if done proper...
Pittuf 0
Not by that small amount i'd say, if you are talking big drops like 20-30mm plus then it would be worth getting everything re checked i'd say.BTW Justin, have you had the camber set up on yours, if so where did you get it done?I had mine done at Airways, near MFI in Stanway, and although it was a good job with print out etc it was well expensive. Although if I take it back I would only have to pay for each adjustment and not all the set up charges.
binliner 0
I had camber & alignment done at elite in Rainham £45 all in.... then I had the new wheels balanced as well so everything is perfect but it looks like it needs dropping a tad more with these wheels on
Mangold 0
Good luck Justin, I'm just getting geared up to raise mine 10mm or so as I'm p*ssed off with it rubbing now! Even had a go at the arches and the plastic liners, to no avail. Its rubbing on the inner arch now I think???
binliner 0
I raised it 15mm after inters vince because it was too low but I've dropped it 10mm more at the front and it seems ok so far
Pittuf 0
Was that Rainham in Kent, seems a long way to go, petrol would cost abit to get down there.Having said that, 45quid for camber, 30quid for balancing plus what 15quid petrol, just under a oner, still less than what I paid!!!! binliner 0
its in essex not far from lakeside... I was going down there anyway because their tyres are really cheap as well. I only paid £16 (cash price) for all 4 wheels to be balanced at a place in colchester
Pittuf 0
Opps, sorry, that was me reading balancing as tracking, doh!Was the 45 quid camber and tracking? (full wheel alighnment)
binliner 0
yep... they checked camber, caster & tracking and adjusted it all (where possible)
