thegoth 5
after this weekend at the Pod I no longer fear the cold. but it would still suck if it's wet and there's no sitting around the camp fire. What type of sockets do they use? Standard European or outdoor ones?If the forecast is dry(ish) I will be at the camp site. Maybe even unveiling my new cinema experience.

thegoth 5
These are what I meant, headlight converters - was running short of vocab this morning - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_172996_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_78406_crumb_34005_parentcategoryrn_78406Although personally I'm just going to go for the black tape option again, making sure I get it on the correct side this time. Doh!!
nivag27 5
Explain yourself Nigel what can you do with black tape. to be honest the converter are they hard to remove?
VR6Pete 1,455
We never actually drove when it was getting dark last time, i never had a need to turn my lights on... I did take extinguisher, warning triangle though.Pete
thegoth 5
Explain yourself Nigel what can you do with black tape. to be honest the converter are they hard to remove? You simply tape over the section of the lens where the dipped beam comes out of. Park in front of a wall to find out where to put it. The step I missed out on last time so I guessed' date=' and guessed wrong it turned out.People stopping in the hotel have more chance of driving by night. It will also get dark earlier this year as, as has been mentioned before, the clocks won't have gone forward, but the early closing of the track will offset most of that.I did take extinguisher, warning triangle though.I think after the events of last time no-one should think twice about not taking an extinguisher. Or a hi vis vest to use as a make shift flag.
