gazbrook 0
My mate was put off buying on cos they are supposed to be really unreliable, also regular cambelt changes too i think, i know which car would last the distance between a vr and a fiat coupe, read the reviews on them vr6bass, fast but unreliable is the best way to describe them
andy 0
Eat this, I prefer the shape of the early gt4, my mates got the later one and whilst it is nice from certain angles I think they got the front end wrong, lumpy bonnet and funny lights...wouldn't put me off though, I think of it as scooby type performance but with much better build quality, certainly turns heads and shifts, welll under 10 grand too[ Edited Wed Aug 04 2004, 08:46PM ]

antera309 3
Audi S3s are starting to go for sub-£12k now. A nice upgrade from a golf, very tunable and much classier than a scooby.
Guest Olly_K
yeah im liking that antera !
acf8181 0
S3's aren't that special...no quicker than vr6, much more thirsty, understeer loads, sit too high in them.
antera309 3
As standard, the S3 is not much different to the VR on performance, but sling £600 at AmD and you'll have a 275bhp/280lb-ft rocket on your hands. I doubt any naturally aspirated Golf (including the R32) would be able to stay with you then!!As for the handling, I liked it when I drove one, but then I'm used to understeering FWD hot hatches anyway. The best bet is to take one for a spin and see if it takes your fancy!
