Oh yeah, this how the wheels started out.

Purchased of ebay, they must have been powder coated some time in their life

Powder coat removed to reveal the lacquer underneath

Lacquer removed and started sanding with 120G wet and dry

good work... it's a long slog' date=' you've got to be meticulous to get a finish like that but they look awesome mate!

btw do u still need the chrome bolts? looks like youve got covers

[/quote']

There was plenty items i thought i should just sell them and cut my loses, and buy something else.

The final finish were done by a metal finishing company to give it that extra bling. 8-|

No need for the wheel bolts now, as the bolt covers were cheap enough and look really good.

I do what somemore chrome bits for the engine bay just waiting for payday as i've spent to much on the car lately. would you like me to PM you a list to see if you can hold of the bits before inters.

PM pureklass on E38, they'll do them... or if not why not have a go yourself? I'm pretty sure mine took about an hour or so for each cutout

ive just done mine' date=' but i painted the inners met grey. ill get sum pics up soon.. also wot size tyres did u put on them.. i went for 205 40 R17 but was quite surprised at how stretched they are!!

[/quote']

I used the same size tyre, it does have a nice little strech on them. Only thing i find a problem is applying the tyre dressing as there isn't much rubber on the rim compared to the 205/50/15 i had brfore :-p
