Recommended Posts

Took me 6 hours today, cost me £20 in bits.. believe me my back is killing me... gave the brakes a clean while everything was off... I like the new look..

The porsche brakes were front ones of a boxster S model...

I had to get some carrier custom made to make them fit... and use 312mm TT discs.. apart from that rest was easy as if changing your normal brakes...

Got some more info on how i did it here : http://www.heerit.co.uk/vw/porsche.html

You will need to check what alloys you got as my TT alloys just clear the calipers by about 5mm.

I got the discs, carriers, hoses, bolts from a company called GTIVW down in south wales.. I have got there number somewhere.

I had to send them one caliper (with pads) so they could machine the carrier. He did the discs for me and ordered the correct stainless hoses. Whole lot cost £315 inc delivery. Did it in one week.

I paid £340 for the porsche calipers with brand new pads/clips/pins etc...
