jaysVR6 2 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Share Posted March 4, 2007 It's because tuning technology has moved on and generic chips are mapped for the characteristics of one car.Any man who opts for a generic chip over a custom rolling road map, specially tailored for their car, is clearly waisting their money imo. Since then though Custom maps have appeared and that is definately the way to go now.As soon as I get everything sorted that I want on the car I will get the chip ripped out and get it custom mapped.That way any little quirks that are unique to my car can be catered for rather than a generic chip :-)Mark.
