While the engines out..

Anything I can do..

Obviously clutch if it actually needs it..

Is there any point having the flywheel lightened and balanced? Cheap thing to do...

Any thing else I can do / You would do?

Not so much an upgrade, but worth doing - replace the water pipes that lead to the oil cooler as a matter of course as they are an arse to get to if they let go when the engine is back in the car.

If you end up doing the flywheel, do the rear crank seal while you are there.... and may as well do the tensioners if they are looking worn...

other than that, I dont think there is a great deal you can do to it on the cheap!

Chains are mint, no slack what so every, same goes for pulleys, think they were recently changed, the guides look ok too..

I think something to do with the oil coooler is on the way out due to mixing oil/water to give the toffee type stuff..

So something there...

I heard that the upper tensioner wasn't a straight fit, this true?

Cheers for the advice, always helpful

keep it coming..

its the rear 'blade' runner that will wear out (the bolt thingy goes into it), check it very carefully.

i'm not sure its worth lighteneing the flywheel, its pretty damn light already (for a flywheel).

nothing else worth doing if the bottom end is in good condition.

Having the flywheel worked on

new belts and chains with new tensioners and guides, getting GREAT deal on those.. (stock thats been idle for 2 years+) lol!

Having head flowed too by a mate who modifies aeroplane engines, yes, aeroplane engines! lol

So all good, shud have an easy 200brake straight away I hope...

with the decat and system fitted...
