purple highline monster 0
1800-2k is around the realistic price for an early VR, you would get around £800 for the rims alone if you put standards back on it! and then advertise the car for £2k
mike 6
agreed with PHM it would be worth sellin rims seperate. around 2k with them slightly less without
Earwig 89
Yep, definately sell rims separate to the car.Car looks in very goo nick to I would say advertise for 2.5k and come down from there.Mark
lee060 3
cars worth £2500 - 3000 imo nearer the 3 .
VR40 0
very low milage for the year and a recent paint job are all in the cars favour. I think you'd be better off selling the wheels seperately to me and then putting the car up for £2600.
coxy 0
it really is mint! and loads better in flesh. id take 3k as is really. may try hang onto it tho cos i really love it. just mpg will cripple me with more miles
mike 6
wouldnt say 3k cus youcan get a later spec one or a highline on that milage for 3k .altho it is nice and worth a try...
purple highline monster 0
Yeah i agree, i only paid just over 3k for my Highline 3 years ago! again when selling a car it depends who buys it! at the end of the day new paint is nice....but if it had no paint on it you would never sell it! if you price it too high it just wont sell as people will just see "an old L reg VW" i can see its a decent car just from the pics and those in the know would give more for it because of the mods and wheels you have etc.. but i doubt it would be more than 2k tbh based purely on the fact that 5 or 6 years younger higher spec cars or Highlines with leather and aircon would be in the same price bracket, dont get me wrong i am not dissing your car, in fact i really like it! just being a realist
Jk* 0
2500-2700 IMO.
matth76 1
Does it have a full service history? Unfortunately you won't get anything for your mods. As above definitely sell the wheels separately you will get far far more that way but virtually nothing extra if sold on the car. I'd estimate around the £2k mark at most as is. Looks well looked after. Pity you're selling it mate. Mpg shouldn't be too bad compared to most 2ltr cars these days. I average 32mpg and I like to push it hard at weekends.
