Earwig 89
As the title says really....... :-)Everyone I ask doesn't seem to know how low they are !I am looking for a large drop but still need the car to be drivable everyday. I already avoid speed ramps ans and where I can. I have a few going into work but should not be to bad.I am currently dropped 35mm and was looking at going down to 70 or 80mm ?Also should there be any difference in height with regards to the front and back of the car ?I want it low for the looks but the car has to handle well to, so I don't want the nose dug in deep and the tail in the air hot rod style... lolWhat are the recomendations on this please ?I am all Ears :-)Mark. Russ_vr6 12
right mines down approx 70-75 mm mate here she is at work yes she does scrape on some speed bump etc but generally mate she drives perfect, not too bumpy, and ride is good, handling is great tooi would prob imagine she might handle better if i raised her up slightly but she looks so great being low i can live with it also iv been up on a local airfield and on flat tarmac the handling is 100% different from the road, couldnt have wished for any better ocansionally the splitter will rub,and might catch on higher speed bumps but iv only got see-sawed once and it looked well great lol but hell, its a dub and with the dub world i was always tought 'if it dont scuff it aint low enough' hope this helps mate
jezmoz 0
i'd say if you're planning on going low low then get a sump guard

dstyrrell 0
i think that 40mm is plenty, a mate of mine had his car dropped 60mm and he could hardly go anywhere. i'm currently 40mm and i've just scraped my splitter in a multi story, gutted.

Earwig 89
Anyone got any difference in height front/back ?Mark.
purple highline monster 0
not got different heights? but this is about 80 and was nearly undriveable!![lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1168970057_2067_FT153854_102_0236.jpg][/lightbox]took it upto about 70mm and its fine even over speed bumps etc you have to watch kerbs thoug as it mullers the splitter everytime! mind this was on 8j rims so with the 7 1/2 J BBS i can go a bit lower again
Earwig 89
I think I might strike a balance around the 70mm mark by the sounds of it.It can't be undriveable as I have to be realistic. Must use my head and not my heart :-)It goes in 27th feb so I have time to think.......Thanks for the info so far !Mark.
craggsy 91
Well Mark you've seen mine so low is the way. I don't do speed bumps in Leicester always drive round to avoid em. But when I have my early splitter on then it catches on the odd speed bump I might have to go over, but I bought genuine so no worries about it
