Will the ABS light stay On

Got my car booked in next Thursday for the MOT test, But before it has the test its having the rear passenger side ABS sensor and the ABS Ring that sits behind the disc changed. Once these have been changed will the ABS light go out by itself, or will it the need codes clearing via VAGCOM.

i had my fault codes cleared on Vagcom when i had mine done

cant remember if the lamp went out before this, think it did from memory though

I need to make sure that it goes out, as the garage don't have a diagnostic computer to clear the fault. And I won't have time to go up there and clear the fault as i will be at work untill 5pm, which just leaves enough time to pick the car before they close. And will mean another day using public transport to get to work.

could pull a fly one and just pull the bulb out for the purposes of the MOT.

I'd rather have it working properly. Thanks for the tip thou, think i'll have to send a freind up to the garage with vagcom if dosent clear by itself.

remove the ign key and then do the work, make sure the ign isnt switched on when the sensor is unplugged, that way it wont register any faults

It will go out as soon as you move a few feet down the road i have replaced 2 of them now the system re-checks its self! Nothing to worry about!

I had to reset mine when i changed a sensor, tho' the light was lit coz of it

Can anyone give me the part number for the ABS ring that sits on the back of the rear disc.
