24v head on 2.9 block (obd1)

totally different as far as the timing chains go unfortunately . . . .

it is not possible ..the head i believe would physically bolt on , but it would be very very difficult to get it working ..

however it would be good to do a total engine swap, i don't think that would be tooooooo difficult...would make a good difference as the 24v version is more powerful AND economical . . :)

well, not exactly the answer i was HOPING for... but a direct answer nonetheless, so thats cool.

mounting up a 24v, according to the people iv known who have done it has been pretty easy, no more hassle than a normal vr, and the vr box bolts up to the block with no mods, too. but just because thats what iv been told, doesnt mean its right.

I don't think it does actually, different head bolt pattern.

would make a good difference as the 24v version is more powerful AND economical . . :)

Variable timing, variable intake, a bit more gas flow and a better ECU all add up! I still prefer the 12V though.
