richievr 1
totally different as far as the timing chains go unfortunately . . . .it is not possible ..the head i believe would physically bolt on , but it would be very very difficult to get it working ..however it would be good to do a total engine swap, i don't think that would be tooooooo difficult...would make a good difference as the 24v version is more powerful AND economical . . petervr6 0
is all the mount etc in the right place then for the mk4 4motion and how would you get around the 4x4 just change the box?
Guest stevesweetland
well, not exactly the answer i was HOPING for... but a direct answer nonetheless, so thats cool.mounting up a 24v, according to the people iv known who have done it has been pretty easy, no more hassle than a normal vr, and the vr box bolts up to the block with no mods, too. but just because thats what iv been told, doesnt mean its right. FishWick 21
..the head i believe would physically bolt on ' date=' but it would be very [/quote']I don't think it does actually, different head bolt pattern.would make a good difference as the 24v version is more powerful AND economical . . Variable timing, variable intake, a bit more gas flow and a better ECU all add up! I still prefer the 12V though.
