bigleem 0 Posted February 12, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 I've pulled my finger out the recaro's are going to MJ's at the weekend for all new bolsters and i'm having some large bolsters built for when the corrado rear seat goes in :-p At the end of this week or early next week it's going into the bodyshop for the sills striping down, stone gaurding and respraying.Both sides are getting resprayed, tailgate and the rear bumper and yes the tow ball is going at last YEE HA!!!!!!! I stand corrected, but i thought you could do the light conversion without having to change grill or slam?I must admit, for years I was unware of the Rallye and anytime I saw a golf with the light conversion, Id be thinking "why the hell do you want make your golf look like a jetta" lol Link to post Share on other sites

bigleem 0 Posted March 9, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 9, 2007 Yeah true plus more weight and that mean it will be slower :-( Your right buddy about the lights the o/s is the one (y) The lights are really bad but these little babys help now.I ended up going for alpine with matching 6*9's they are type R so soung really good all going in after the body work has been done. booked in for the 19th so will be ready HOPEFULLY for mega meet barnsley. bigleem 0 Posted April 4, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2007 Just thought i'd give a quick update on the car!The car went in the bodyshop on the 19th march as planned, but got a phone call from the guy who was doing the work not good!!!!!!!! He said he didn't want to put in the audi door handles wasn't best pleased, as he said, when he had a look that it would be no problem???????????? *-) so i went to see him after work the same day then he told me he didn't want to do anything on the car :@ I was over the moon about that!!!!!!Well found another bodyshop straight away and it went in but they didn't want to put the audi handles in so they have not been done this time round but should be picking it up on thursday, all the body work has been done. So at this moment i have a J reg mk2 golf with mint paint work and shell Now that has made me happy :-p I ended up buying the alpine type R components and 6x9's to match sounded very good in the shop not got them in the car yet.Elsecar mega meet this weekend so got lots to do this weekend put all the new lights on and momo steering wheel and quite a few other things to finish the car off.Only thing that is not finished is my BBS wheels just waiting on the rims and the powder coating but its my fault can't decide what colour to do the centre? bigleem 0 Posted April 11, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 I'll get the BBs done in silver if you come over every weekend and clean the mk2vr6dreamer???????I had all the rust removed and the sills stripped down to the metal and stone gaurded and resprayed so in the end i had the wings, doors, sills, tailgate and the rear bumper cause i had the tow ball removed.Really happy with the work that has been done.Put all the new lights on and the new alpine gear the car looks 10 times better just the wheels to sort out running it on a set of mim 1900's at the mo look quite good.I will post some pic's up soon Link to post Share on other sites

Well you'll have to wait and see (h) All the BBS bolts are knackered so thought i'd have a go at polishing them.
