Liam_0404 got a reaction from blackwookie in Alloys on '02 mk4 Golf V6 4motion...
I've got a set of 18 inch R32 reps for sale if you like? Look good as OEM style. Good tyres but will probably need a refurb. £200 for a quick sale

Fair enough, definitely haldex service then a first thing, want to make sure that's all working okay! They're great cars, aren't the quickest, but sound great and will keep up with most things on the road!

You can scan it with Vagcom, will say whether the chains have stretched! Link is here

Saw this below from the same post
If it's an AUE or AQP (pre 2002) you have no worries at all with that engine and I'd be surprised if it needs anything more than a new upper guide rail.
It's only the pre 2005 R32s that are well documented as having the upper chain stretching issue, but technically speaking, the BDE/BDF 4Motions (2002 on) share the same VVT and chain setup as the R32, so if you have one of these engines, I would change the chains anyway to be honest
The fault won't show up on the dash but it may put your car into limp mode, does this on the r32, which reduces power by about 15% I think.
If you have the funds then go for it, if not scan it and/or listen for chain rattle!

Liam_0404 reacted to VR6OC News Bot in [General Car News]This 600 hp VW Golf Destroys Everything at the Drag Strip
You don’t see every day a second-generation Volkswagen Golf beat an Audi R8 V10 Plus in the quarter mile. If that happens, the fun is guaranteed because this insane Golf not only leaves behind the aforementioned R8 V10 Plus, but also blew away a Ford Focus ST, Mercedes-Ben ML63 AMG, an Audi TT, and a Dodge Challenger SRT.
Dubbed the Tobi Golf 2 4Motion GT35, this hatchback is tuned by Druckwerk and under the hood instead of the original four-cylinder now features a turbocharged 2.9-liter VR6 engine. It sends all of its 600 hp through through a 4Motion all-wheel drive setup.
Watch the video below taken at a German drag racing event by YouTuber Gumbal, and see the brutal Golf mk2 take out its competition one rival at a time.

Liam_0404 got a reaction from HOTSHOT III in V6 4Motion buyer's guide?
They are great cars are can be easily upgraded! I've got R32 shocks, springs and ARBs to go on mine, straight fit and apparently transforms the car no end! Also pretty much all MK4 bits are cheap! Where else would you get a 204hp 4wd car for the price they're going for!
