  1. Hello all,

I’m after a supercharger set up for my 12v OBD1 coilpack VR6 if anyone has anything for sale.

Not too fussed on make as long as it’s in decent condition. Willing to travel to collect.

    Cheers all, Liam.

  2. Selling my MK4 V6 4motion.
    76k miles.
    Indigo Blue
    3 Door
    Heated Recaros
    Auto Wipers
Haldex Oil and Filter serviced last year.
    Some service history

    Mods:
    Cat Back Milltek non resonated

    Full R32 suspension
    R32 Arbs
    Anni Headlights
    Us Rear lights
    Anni Clocks
    Votex Front splitter
    BMC intake
    Full R32 interior trim

    Bad parts:
    Thrust bearing whines
    Headlight/rear washer pump doesn't work
Few dings and small bit of surface rust on rear arch (does polish up well though)

    £2500 as is
£1500 with all mods removed (except for suspension and clocks)

May part out with enough interest

Will get pics up later this weekend

  3. It's renewal time and Greenlight have given me a competitive quote, I've been with elephant for 2 years who have been good but can only have 6 mods on the policy, and I want more!

Anyone with Greenlight or have any stories about them? They seem genuine for a small company and have seen on other forums that people recommend them.

    Liam.

  4. Change the wood trim, that's the first thing I did!! Things like Haldex oil and filter are a good place to start. Coil packs get eaten every couple of years, and MAF might be worth changing. Is yours the BDE (later) or AUE (earlier, pre 2001) engine?
Mine has full R32 suspension and 18 R32 alloys, ride's so much better than standard!
Also a Milltek catback will make you smile, but probably best to sort servicing first!

  5. Hello all,

I've got a v6 4mo with 70k on the clock, done a fair few oem upgrades on it (R32 arbs, R32 shocks and springs, Anni kit and headlights, R32 alloys loads more), and serviced all brakes haldex etc.

The thrust bearing is whining and has done for the past 2 years since I had it, do I get the clutch etc, water pump, chains changed, or sell up (what you reckon it's worth)? Might of found a 1.8t I like (don't kill me)

    Liam.

  6. Hi, some info from various places, hopefully will help you out...

Rear diff - Holds 1.0 litre of oil and when drained is empty and requires 1.0 litre to refill it, handy as thats the size of bottle vw supply the oil in (Part No: G 052 145 A)

For gear box oil im sure its 75w90 2.6 ltrs up front and 1 ltr in the rear diff, and dont confuse this withHaldex oil. thats a VW only thing and comes in a tube that you also need a gun for.

  7. You can scan it with Vagcom, will say whether the chains have stretched! Link is here
    http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?239642-R32-chains-and-tensioners

Saw this below from the same post

If it's an AUE or AQP (pre 2002) you have no worries at all with that engine and I'd be surprised if it needs anything more than a new upper guide rail.

It's only the pre 2005 R32s that are well documented as having the upper chain stretching issue, but technically speaking, the BDE/BDF 4Motions (2002 on) share the same VVT and chain setup as the R32, so if you have one of these engines, I would change the chains anyway to be honest

The fault won't show up on the dash but it may put your car into limp mode, does this on the r32, which reduces power by about 15% I think.
If you have the funds then go for it, if not scan it and/or listen for chain rattle!

  8. Anyone who's interested, I now have 4wd back with no stutter! It was the haldex controller, the connector end was missing and someone had gaffa taped it back up Anyway new controller in, fiddly as heck, but a simple job when not on just ramps!

If anyone has any questions on how to replace the haldex controller let me know!
