    I'm pretty capable of doing 95% of the work my self, what i dont want to get into is trying to fabricate a down pipe and obviously I cant map my own ECU as for the 4motion, only if it's cheap enough for me to take the engine out for something else. i've tried a few of the mk4 platform cars, we just dont get on.

    OK, so i've read the FAQ, and i know whats involved BUT... Does anyone sell a complete ready to bolt on turbo kit with everything you need? I've seen the charger kits and i've seen the Chinese kits, but i would ideally like something a little better quality, and i'd prefer a turbo as i know how to rebuild them.

    you need the fuel pressure from the pump for it to even start. How do you know the pump isnt working? are you sure it isnt just a relay or fuse?

    I dont actually know anyone with a VR6, everyone converts to 20vt or ABF's these days. I just love that VR6 noise.. got one in my mk3 daily, and 2 conversions, one for my jetta and one for the mk3 vento.

    Yes mate, stick me name down.. I know tatton restricts the size of club stands (it was 10 cars last year) just didn't want to get my name in there meaning others couldn't get on there.

    I'll be interested, my cars by no stretch of the imagination a show car, but it's as tidy as about 70% of the stuff that was there last year, but obviously dont want to take a place away from someone with a better car.

    Thanks, I can finally have a MFA screen I can read, there's only 400 miles difference between the clocks, and I don't need them for my mk2, so i'll stick them in. What's the difference in the gti clocks pete out of interest?

    Can anyone tell me if OBD2 clocks will work in a OBD1 car before I go to the trouble of pulling my clocks out.

    be easier to just fit the colour concept ones than to recover these, or the mk4 golf ones. the colour concept leathers are possibly the comfiest seats i've had in anything.

    It's a long story, but the edited version is, last week I had a VR6, this week I have 3 of them. One of them has a set of mulberry leathers in 7.5/10 condition! I Have someone interested in buying them, but if the sale falls through i'm more than likely going to fit them to my car. But my car has cloth Recaro, which obviously I would sell, but I cant find an identical set for sale anywhere to get an idea of their value, so i'm wondering if one of you knolagible people could tell me A- what car they would be from (gti/vr6/1.4cl) and an idea of what would be a sensible price to ask for

    yeh i've stripped a few in the past, do the windows have 1 touch perpetration like newer cars, where you just tap the button and it goes all the way down or all the way up.
