  1. As the title suggests, lowering springs or coilovers? I'm only asking because for the price of a set of springs you can get a cheapo set of coilovers from ebay. Thoughts?
  2. Hi, how do I fix a seized engine? It had a massive oil Leak then seized up. I should be getting a replacement soon, but I also want to try to salvage and fix this one. What are my options?

  8. Hi all, Well my project starts tomorrow with the delivery of an OBD2 VR6. the only problem is the engine, it is seized and needs a new one. so here I am looking for a new engine. I am not that fussed about putting in anything crazy but I would love to drop in an R32. I am not all that clued up on engine codes so any help on what engine code will drop straight in (or near as dammit) would be a great help. I have looked on eBay but then haven't a clue what engine code is with it and what isn't. Can someone please help and let me know what I should be looking for and what to avoid. Pl
  9. Thanks for the info, It will deffo be wanting a new chain and tensioner< then after that I will be looking at a Schrick Camshaft. Where is best to buy uprated parts like this (rods, pistons, bolts)? Also, what results are peeps getting from a 264, 276, 268 cam?
  10. Hi all, I am looking at getting a VR6 off eBay, I know it's not ideal but it seems to be the only place to get a quick local sale. Any way, I am looking to get into the VR scene and and want it to last a good couple of years. Obviously I won't know the history of the car so what would be the first things I need to do to it to make sure that it stays healthy. I will eventually be wanting to tune the engine but can't do it all at once. Where is best to start? Thanks for the help.

  13. Hi all, I use to own a vr6, but sold it for food. I really do regret it now. Any ways I am looking at getting another VR6 and get back in the vr6 world again, but this time with a bit more interest. So, what would be the best 'Workshop Manual' to work from?
  14. I've always stayed away from turbos and gone with superchargers instead, I don't know why, i think it is the 'whine' they make, but, after reading this this thread i am tempted. All i need to do now is come up with the world's best sale's pitch for the wife on 'why' I need a VRT. I was looking at R32 two but i alway end up back looking at the VR.
